BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A restaurant on the central coast is adding to the growing list of award-winning food spots in California.
Chef Michael Stevens of Palo Mesa Pizza took home first place in the “Classica” Division at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas.
He earned the highest overall score against top pizza makers from around the world.
Stevens joined ARC Bakersfield to give Kern County a taste of what sets his pizza apart from the rest.
