Authorities have publicly identified three people killed in four days in San Diego County crashes.
The most recent of the crashes occurred shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday, when a southbound pickup veered off Interstate 5 and struck a tree on an embankment near Harbor Drive in Oceanside, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
Paramedics took the driver, Norman De Vilbiss, 79, to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where he was pronounced dead roughly 90 minutes later, the county agency reported.
On Friday, 27-year-old Miranda White of Pauma Valley was killed in a collision near Palomar Mountain, the county agency reported. White was driving a vehicle that crashed into a pickup on state Route 76 east of Pauma Valley Drive shortly after 2 p.m.
An ambulance crew took her to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where she was pronounced dead early the next morning.
On Thursday, Rhaymon Baugh Jackson, 30, of San Diego died in a predawn motorcycle crash in Serra Mesa, authorities said.
Baugh Jackson was heading north on Interstate 805 about 5 a.m. when the motorcycle he was riding rear-ended a Ford Explorer SUV near Murray Ridge Road, according to the medical examiner and the California Highway Patrol. He died at the scene.
