Inside Kyoto’s Gion district, Kichi Kichi Omurice has become a viral must-visit thanks to Chef Motokichi Yukimura. His famous omurice, rich fried rice wrapped in a silky omelette and sliced open tableside, is equal parts comfort food and performance, blowing up across TikTok and Instagram.
And today the viral omurice chef announced that he’s taking his show on the road! The Kichi Kichi Omurice experience is coming to the U.S. for the first time.
