(FOX40.COM) — Fire crews contained a vehicle fire that spread to several storage units Wednesday afternoon in south Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
Firefighters responded to a commercial structure fire around 8051 E. Stockton Boulevard, with assistance from the Sacramento Fire Department and Cosumnes Fire Department.

Authorities said that arriving crews found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames inside a storage facility, with the fire extending into nearby units. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and were able to confine the blaze primarily to the vehicle while checking surrounding units for further spread.
Officials stated that three storage units sustained minor damage.

The vehicle’s owner was at the scene at the time of the fire and had been removing items from the units when the blaze began.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
