ENCINITAS, Calif. (KSWB/KUSI) — National Robotics Week, running from April 4-12, celebrates the world of robotics and technological innovation across the United States.
The annual observance recognizes robotics organizations nationwide for their hard work and creativity, while also bringing together roboticists to grow the field and encourage collaboration across cities, industries, and disciplines.
The week emphasizes how robotics can drive innovation, fuel economic growth, and advance technology throughout society.
Here in San Diego County, students are already putting that vision into action.
At The Rhoades School in Encinitas, a group of middle school students — including eighth graders Aden and Ahran — have engineered semi-autonomous robots designed to work in sync.
Their robots complete a series of complex challenges, offering a glimpse into the next generation of STEM talent developing locally.
On Monday, April 13, Aden, Ahran and their classmates will be in Austria to compete in an international robotics competition, representing both their school and the growing impact of robotics education in the region.
