The San Francisco 49ers hosted nearly 50 NFL prospects on Wednesday afternoon for their annual local pro day. The group featured players with ties to the Bay Area, either by hometown or college career, who took part in a series of on-field drills at the SAP Performance Facility. The workout also gave participants a chance to connect directly with the coaching staff and front office as the team continues its draft evaluations.

Wednesday also provided a first look at San Francisco’s updated coaching staff in action, as several new hires and recently restructured roles took part in evaluating local talent during the workout. Defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, assistant head coach (defense) Matt Eberflus, passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach Leonard Hankerson, and defensive passing game coordinator Jerry Gray were among the group on the field. They were joined by head coach Kyle Shanahan and president of football operations/general manager John Lynch.

The 2026 NFL Draft is set to take place April 23–25 in Pittsburgh, as the 49ers continue to finalize their evaluations ahead of draft week. As it stands, San Francisco is scheduled to make six total selections, including the No. 27 overall pick in the first round. Local pro day serves as an additional opportunity for prospects to showcase their abilities while giving the organization a closer look at potential fits, whether through the draft or as undrafted free agents.
