SANTA ANA, CA — Early Thursday, Orange County Fire Authority crews in Santa Ana saved multiple apartments from going up in flames.
Shortly before 3:30 a.m., firefighters responded to the call in the 3000 block of S. Bradford Street and found the garage structures emitting smoke and flames.
“When Truck 76 arrived on scene, they found a row of detached garages with fire in an end unit immediately threatening the apartments behind it,” the OCFA reported over social media. “With a well-coordinated attack, crews knocked the blaze down before it could spread to the homes.”
Damage to the structure was estimated at $250,000 and to the contents at $100,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
