SAN DIEGO — With less than two months to go until the June primary, the California GOP is having its convention in San Diego April 10-12.

The two Republicans running for governor, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco and former TV news host Steve Hilton, lead the race in several polls, including one from the Berkeley Institute for Governmental Studies.  

Eric Dutra is one delegate heading to the state GOP convention. The 27 year old said his top priority for the party is affordability.

Republican National Executive Committee member Shawn Steel and Republican political strategist Mike Madrid weigh in on the state of the Republican Party.
