Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration played a starring role on “Jeopardy!” as one of the categories on the Monday, April 6 episode of the long-running television game show hosted by Ken Jennings.

Jennings read the Jeopardy clues in video segments recorded inside Disneyland aboard rides and in front of park landmarks. The three contestants back in the TV studio buzzed in to give their answers in the form of a question during the show’s Double Jeopardy round.
The topics included King Arthur Carrousel, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Main Street USA, Sleeping Beauty Castle and Jungle Cruise.
The contestants were reigning champ Jamie Ding (a bureaucrat and law student from New Jersey) and challengers Mikey Hlebasko (a sales operations director from Georgia) and Maggie Faucher (a research assistant from Pennsylvania).

The five Disneyland 70th anniversary clues were:
The $400 Clue: A merry-go-round at L.A.’s Griffith Park inspired Walt Disney to create his theme park and Disneyland’s carousel was one of the original attractions. Jingles here was dedicated to Julie Andrews, honoring her role as this classic Disney film character.
The $800 Clue: In 2019, Disneyland opened a new land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, complete with this starship flown by Han Solo and Chewbacca.
The $1,200 Clue: As envisioned by Walt Disney and his earliest Imagineers, Main Street USA with its turn-of-the-century nostalgia, was inspired in part by Walt’s own upbringing in this state. Show me.
The $1,600 Clue: One of the original features at Disneyland, one that opened in 1955, Sleeping Beauty Castle drew inspiration from this famous castle in Bavaria.
The $2,000 Clue: One of Adventureland’s star attractions is the Jungle Cruise, taking you along remote rivers on boats originally inspired by the one skippered by Humphrey Bogart in this classic film.

Ding picked up $4,800 in the Disneyland category with correct responses to the $1,200, $1,600 and $2,000 clues.
Faucher got the $800 response correct and Hlebasko swept up the $400 clue.
Ding won Monday’s game with $31,611 and stretched his hot streak to 17 in a row with his total winnings standing at $494,012.
