Overnight lane and ramp closures on the 605 Freeway are scheduled next week between Cerritos and Irwindale for a paving project.

Between Monday night (April 13) and next Saturday (April 18), closures of the 605 Freeway start as early as 10 p.m. and last through 5 or 6 a.m., and 7 a.m. on Saturday, according to Caltrans.

The planned closures include:
–Northbound 605 Firestone Boulevard off-ramp closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night through Friday morning;
–Up to two lanes will be closed in both directions of the 605 with a moving operation from Telegraph Road to the San Bernardino (10) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.;
–Monday night through Friday night, up to three lanes of the 605 closed in both directions between the 10 and Foothill (210) freeways.
–The northbound 605 Ramona Boulevard, Lower Azusa Road and Huntington Drive/Mount Olive on- and off-ramps will be closed;
–The southbound 605 Ramona Boulevard, Lower Azusa Road and Arrow Highway off-ramps will be closed; and
–The southbound Ramona Boulevard, Lower Azusa Road, Live Oak Avenue and Huntington Drive/Mount Olive on-ramps will be closed.

All ramps will be closed sequentially as work progresses, with no two consecutive ramps closed at the same time.

Motorists are encouraged by Caltrans to use the Long Beach (710) Freeway or 5 Freeway as alternate routes.

The work is part of the $260-million Super 605 corridor project to rehabilitate the 605 from Long Beach to the San Gabriel Valley.
