Officers with the Long Beach Police Department apprehended two juvenile males wanted for questioning after an incident at the McDonald’s in Long Beach on April 7 at about 7:06 p.m.
According to LBPD Chief Flint Wright, an employee of McDonald’s overheard commotion between multiple juveniles and thought they heard one was armed with a gun. McDonald’s then reported information to the Pacific County 911 Communications Center.
When officers arrived to confront the juveniles, two took off on foot and officers actively chased them for six blocks. The two juveniles were apprehended and are being questioned by officers regarding the incident, and another unrelated incident.
“We are investigating this as a harassment complaint,” Wright said.
