SAN DIEGO (FOX5/KUSI) — A power outage has been reported in the Rancho San Diego area near Jamacha and Hillsdale, according to the SDGE Outage Map.
The outage began at 8 p.m., affecting 1,312 SDGE customers throughout Rancho San Diego, Casa De Oro, Granite Hills, Singing Hill, Jamacha, West Jamul and Indian Springs.
According to SDGE, the outage was caused by a vehicle that collided with a light pole nearby on Jamacha Road. SDGE’s website says, “A vehicle has come into contact with our electric system and our crews are currently on scene making repairs.”
The power was restored around 9:30 p.m.
The crash, which caused the outage, reportedly happened on Jamacha Road near the Hillsdale Road intersection, near Valhalla High School.
