HENDERSON, Nev. – At Lee’s Family Forum on Saturday night, the Henderson Silver Knights took on the San Jose Barracuda for their final matchup of the regular season. Henderson walked away with a 4-1 victory.
In the first period, the Barracuda opened the scoring with a power-play goal scored by Kasper Halttunen midway through. Late in the period, San Jose returned to the man advantage, which led to Jackson Hallum scoring a shorthanded goal to tie the game for the Knights. With 37 seconds left in the period, Braeden Bowman scored after a failed clearing attempt to give Henderson the lead. The second period saw no goals. During the third period, the Silver Knights added to their lead with a goal scored by Trevor Connelly on the power play. After back-and-forth action throughout the period, San Jose pulled their goalie, which resulted in an empty net goal scored by Matyas Sapovaliv.
