Choosing the selections for a rocking Earth Day playlist wouldn’t be too difficult: You’d likely add a track that is pure buzzing, and maybe one sweet song full of nighttime chittering, and perhaps an opener that is simply an owl’s hoot.
The annual wish-the-planet-well party, which boasts a marvelous made-in-nature playlist, takes place each April when the world is abuzz with busy critters and blooming plants and flowering trees and sense that everything is awakening after a wintry slumber.
And the buzz over at the Natural History Museum is always beautiful, especially when it comes to honoring Earth Day in all of the wonderful and important ways.
On April 19, a day full of upbeat and educational activities is on the buzzy and busy schedule, with animal presentations, opportunities to plant seeds, and chances to chat with a host of local eco-minded groups, including Friends of the LA River and the Malibu Creek Ecosystem Restoration Project.
The Mineralogical Society of Southern California will be there with rocks to admire, cool, and important coastal topics will be the theme over at the WaveMakers area.
Most everything is included with your museum admission, but keep in mind that “Dinosaur Encounters” will require a separate ticket.
