Vehicle pursuit in Sacramento ends with crash and K-9 bite

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A pursuit involving an allegedly armed vehicle ended in a crash in the Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento on Monday night.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, deputies began chasing a man driving an allegedly armed vehicle near the intersection of Power Inn Road and Elder Creek Road around 9:30 p.m. The pursuit ended following a crash near Watt Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard, where the driver was “detained via dog bite” by a K-9 Officer, per the sheriff’s office.
