(FOX40.COM) — A police chase came to an end on Monday night after a K9 dog detained a suspect who struck a vehicle while evading officers, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 9:30 p.m., SCSO pursued a vehicle near Power Inn Road and Elder Creek. Deputies said it was an armed vehicle, and the suspect was caught after being bitten by a K9.

According to SCSO, a civilian vehicle was hit by the suspect’s vehicle. Injuries are unclear.
