Homicide Investigation Update 

April 14, 2026 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Friday, March 20, 2026, at approximately 11:16 p.m., Southwest Policing District officers responded to Sun Stereo Warehouse at 736 Fulton Street regarding a shooting victim. Officers located 38-year-old, Meharie Kidane suffering from gunshot wounds and rendered medical aid. Victim Kidane was transported by EMS to the hospital. Despite life-saving measures, Victim Kidane was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Homicide Detectives have found that several individuals were at the location for a gathering and were escorted outside the venue following an altercation inside. Detectives identified 19-year-old Kamyah Bolden as the person responsible for the murder of Victim Kidane. On Wednesday, April 9, 2026, Fresno Police Department Tactical Team members and officers assigned to the city-wide Violent Crime Suppression Operation arrested Bolden. Bolden was booked into the Freno County Jail for murder.
