BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a 37-year-old man whose body was found in a canal last week in southwest Bakersfield.
Victor Eleazar Flores, 37, of Bakersfield was found in the Arvin/Edison Canal at the end of the 4900 block of Ashe Road on April 8 at around 5:15 p.m., officials said in a release.

At the time of the incident, Bakersfield police said someone called 911 saying their friend jumped into the canal.

Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.
