A Sacramento family is demanding justice after four people, including a grandmother and a 4-year-old child, were shot in front of their home on Ninth Avenue in Oak Park on March 25. The family said weeks have passed since the shooting, and the person responsible remains at large. “We have not had any interaction or heard of if there’s any suspects, if there’s any leads, if there’s going to be any arrests made,” said Dawn Wilson. “We haven’t had any…no public officials have reached out to my mom, someone who has owned this house for almost 40 years, like I said. So it’s very disheartening that something so terrible can happen and we just we treat it like we’re numbers. Again, just another statistic in another neighborhood.”While everyone survived the shooting, the family said they were left with more than physical scars. Since that day, they have been displaced from their home and have nowhere to turn. The family is asking anyone who knows anything about the shooting to come forward.See more coverage of top California stories here | Download our app | Subscribe to our morning newsletter | Find us on YouTube here and subscribe to our channel
