OAKLAND — Crepe purveyor the Crepe Pan has closed after 10 years in business, East Bay Nosh reports. It was initially part of the Crepevine mini-chain before it split off and became independent in 2016, the outlet reports. The business’s website remains operational, but Yelp confirms the Crepe Pan is closed. 4184 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland

OAKLAND — East Bay Nosh also caught the closure of  Sweet Fingers Jamaican Restaurant, which closed its doors as of Sunday, April 5. It’s not entirely sad news, however: the news outlet states the restaurant will move to a new location, and ownership confirmed in their closure post on Instagram, writing that catering will continue as they ready their new Oakland location to open “very very soon.” 5859 Foothill Boulevard, Oakla

OUTER RICHMOND — Favorite neighborhood diner Eat Americana closes its doors on Sunday, April 12, after 30 years in business, SFGATE reports. The upcoming closure was first reported via Instagram by Eric Lindsey, president of the Balboa Village Merchants Association, who stated that owner Tony Lai is likely retiring. A statement from the restaurant on that post reads in part: “For the past 30 years, we have had the absolute honor of serving this community. You haven’t just been our customers; you have become our family. We have watched children grow up, shared countless laughs, and celebrated life’s milestones across our tables. Your unwavering support and warm smiles have been the heartbeat of this restaurant since the very beginning.” 3532 Balboa Street, San Francisco

OAKLAND — Oakland vegan restaurant Millennium set a closing date for Saturday, May 16, after 31 years in business, SFGATE reports. Founding chef and co-owner Eric Tucker told the publication that costs have continued to rise, while the number of diners has gone down. This might not be the end of the restaurant, however, as Tucker states that their team may pivot to a new concept, “a more scaled-back model with a prix fixe menu at a higher price point.” 5912 College Avenue, Oakland

BERKELEY — The Trumer taproom in Berkeley is set to close as of Friday, May 29, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The taproom closure follows news that Firestone Walker Brewing Co. acquired the U.S. operations of Trumer. Gambrinus Co., which sold the brand to Firestone, owns the Berkeley brewery and taproom, and they made the decision to close both. It’s not the end of the beer, however, as Firestone announced that Trumer Pils will be made at its Paso Robles brewery. 1404 Fourth Street, Berkeley

WALNUT CREEK — Kacha Thai Bistro has closed after 14 years in business, reports Beyond the Creek. A sign taped to the door reads, in part, “Thank you for every meal shared, every celebration, and every moment of support. Serving you has been an honor and a joy we will always cherish. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.” 1665 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, Walnut Creek

CLAYTON — The Clayton Club Saloon has closed as of Sunday, March 29, after a whopping 153 years in business, SFGATE reports. The Western-themed bar first opened in 1873, with a long line of owners keeping the business going. The details behind the closure are complicated, involving litigation between co-owners and a court-assigned receiver managing the bar as of 2023, but now the saloon will be auctioned off “on the steps of Clayton City Hall” on Friday, April 3, co-owner Misty Leone told the news outlet. 6096 Main Street, Clayton

NAPA — Charlie Palmer Steak Napa, located inside the Archer Hotel Napa, will close its doors as of Sunday, April 12, according to a press release. The restaurant first opened in 2017, and both Archer and Palmer call the decision to close “mutual.” A general manager for Archer Hotel Napa says that plans for a lobby lounge are in progress, while the press release states that the Charlie Palmer Collective will “pursue its new and forthcoming direction for Charlie Palmer Steak in wine country.” 1230 1st Street, Napa
