LONG BEACH – A 57-year-old pedestrian died from injuries he suffered in a hit-and-run crash in Long Beach nearly two months ago, police said Thursday.
Ronald Sera of Montebello was found about 1:05 a.m. Feb. 28 in the area of Redondo Avenue and Anaheim Street after officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash at the location, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The officers located Sera unconscious in the road and Long Beach Fire Department personnel rushed him to a hospital, but on Wednesday he died from his injuries, police said.
“The preliminary investigation revealed a Toyota Previa van was traveling west on Anaheim Street and collided with the pedestrian in the crosswalk of Redondo Avenue,” police said. “The Toyota Previa continued traveling west on Anaheim Street and out of sight.”
No suspect information was available and the investigation remained ongoing.
