After temporarily closing due to economic challenges, Chando’s Tacos will reopen its Arden & Power Inn location in Sacramento on Saturday.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Chando’s Tacos is set to reopen its Arden & Power Inn location in Sacramento on Saturday, following a period of uncertainty earlier this year.
The restaurant had temporarily closed all its Sacramento-area locations due to economic challenges, as ABC10 previously reported in July.
Owner Lisandro “Chando” Madrigal cited “economic factors and circumstances beyond our control that have deeply impacted the restaurant industry” as reasons for the closures.
Despite these challenges, Madrigal expressed gratitude to the Sacramento community, stating, “Thank you, dear Sacramento family. This is not a goodbye, but a see you soon.”
The reopening announcement was made on Chando’s official Facebook account, with a message, “Sometimes you have to take a step back to move forward. We’ve worked hard to bring you better flavor, better service, and the same Chando’s love you’ve always known.”
The Arden & Power Inn location is expected to resume regular operations on Saturday, offering the same menu items that have made Chando’s Tacos a staple in Sacramento’s culinary scene.
The restaurant will also reopen the Arden Way and Sacramento State University locations.
