FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Soccer legend Mia Hamm is coming to Fresno.
That announcement was made Wednesday night as The Central California Women’s Conference Board of Directors awarded over $100,000 in grants.
The money went to 90 different organizations Wednesday night.
Organizers played a video of Mia Hamm announcing she is this year’s keynote speaker for the conference.
Hamm is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA Women’s World Cup champion. This year’s theme is “Beyond the Goal.”
Hamm was hailed by ESPN as the greatest female athlete of the past 40 years and in 1987 was the youngest woman to ever appear in a match for the
US Senior Squad at just 15 years old.
If you would like to see the US soccer star at the Central California Women’s Conference, tickets go on sale in June.
The conference is September 15, 2026 in Downtown Fresno. For more information click here
