SAN JOSE — One person was killed in a multi-vehicle wreck reported just before noon Friday along Story Road, police said.

The crash was reported at 11:56 a.m. near Story Road and Lucretia Avenue near the city’s Little Saigon neighborhood, according to San Jose police, which confirmed one death from the collision.

Police did not immediately release additional details, other than to warn motorists that road closures “will be in place for several hours” while traffic investigators examine the crash site. They later added that Story Road traffic would be shut down between McLaughlin and Roberts avenues, cutting off a main route to Kelley Park and Happy Hollow Park and Zoo.

The person killed will be identified publicly by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office once their name is confirmed and their next of kin is notified.
