BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman who died in the hospital days after a crash on Highway 178 as 57-year-old Cindy Ann Lackie of Wofford Heights.
The coroner’s report said on February 14, 2026, at around 4:25 a.m., Lackie was driving a vehicle and was involved in a crash on westbound Highway 178 and Golden State Avenue.
The report said Lackie died on February 26, at Kern Medical Intensive Care Unit.
