NEW YORK — No visiting player in MLB history had homered in four straight days against the New York Yankees entering Thursday afternoon’s game. That was until the seventh inning when Mike Trout accomplished the feat.
Trout homered against Yankees reliever Angel Chivilli, who made his season debut. It was Trout’s fifth home run in the four-game series, which tied Jimmie Foxx, Darrell Evans and George Bell for the most home runs in a series against the Yankees.
Yankees captain Aaron Judge expressed his admiration for Trout each time the Angels’ designated hitter has homered in this series. YES Network cameras have panned to Judge, who has had a smirk on his face after each one of Trout’s home runs.

“He’s the greatest, the greatest of all time,” Judge said with a smile after Monday’s game. “I know he’s had some tough injuries over the years, but to see himself back in a better spot this year — every time he comes to the Bronx, man, he puts on a show. I hate to see it, but it’s fun competing against a guy like that.”
Trout and Judge, who have a combined six MVP awards, put on a show throughout this series. The two combined to hit nine home runs in the four-game set, and both are now inside the top five on the home run leaderboard this season.
