OAKLAND — Fatal shootings that occurred Saturday evening are under investigation by the Oakland Police Department, according to authorities.

Officers arrived to the 6400 block of Foothill Boulevard just before 8:15 p.m. Saturday after reports of multiple gunshots from the ShotSpotter Activation system. Two male victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds and transported to a local hospital, where one succumbed to his wounds and the other was listed in critical condition, officers said.

A third female victim was found at the 2800 block of 64th Avenue and pronounced dead on scene.

The victims’ identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
