Cal State Bakersfield to host Veterans Day celebration

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — California State University Bakersfield is set to host a Veterans Day Celebration event at Runner Park.

According to university officials, the event is set to start at 10 a.m. with a ceremony that ends at 10:30 a.m.

After the ceremony, there will be a a resource fair from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and a lunch from 11 a.m. to noon.

There is scheduled to be a Black Hawk landing at noon and a takeoff at 2:30 p.m.

Officials said the landing is pending the government shutdown.
