About 1,500 utility customers lost power in San Francisco’s Nob Hill area for several hours Sunday, according to Pacific Gas & Electric.
The outage was reported around 5:30 p.m. Crews restored power to most customers by 9:30 p.m. About 300 customers remained without power, with service expected to be restored around 10:45 p.m., according to PG&E’s outage map.
The cause of the outage was under investigation, PG&E said.

The disruption follows other recent PG&E blackouts, including a widespread outage that forced the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk to shut down its rides Friday. The utility attributed it to equipment issues at a substation.
In December, a fire at a PG&E substation caused a blackout that left about a third of San Francisco without power. Citing concerns about repeated outages, Mayor Daniel Lurie and other city leaders said last month that they planned to ask state regulators to open an investigation.
