Taylor Swift once sang Charlie Puth “should be a bigger artist” — and it’s getting easier to see why.
Puth has earned fans for hits like “Attention,” “We Don’t Talk Anymore” and “Light Switch.” He hopes to keep that momentum going with his fourth studio album, “Whatever’s Clever!”
What he calls his favorite yet, the project is one of the musician’s most personal, using his infectious pop sensibility to reflect on his rise in the industry and personal journey into fatherhood.
The new album, released March 27, came nearly two months after Puth sang the national anthem ahead of the Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, where he performed along with fellow pregame performers Coco Jones and Brandi Carlile.
Now, he’s set to return to the Bay Area to perform at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, part of his ongoing world tour of the new record.
