BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two alleged gang members have been charged with murder in connection to a deadly shooting on Knotts Street, court records show.
Matthew Ryan Rodriguez, 21, and Donterrence DeShawn Frank Brown, 22, were charged Monday in a shooting that wounded two people, one fatally, April 13 on Knotts Street just west of North Baker Street, according to court records and sheriff’s officials.
Arthur Deray Ward, 30, was pronounced dead at a hospital, officials said.
Rodriguez and Brown are members of the West Side Crips, according to a court filing, “and the murder was carried out to further the activities of the criminal street gang.”
