Make Food Not Waste Pop-Up Dinner Series — April 23

In commemoration of Earth Day, chefs Jeremiah Stone and Fabián von Hauske Valtierra of Wildair team up with Fátima Juárez of Komal for a collaboration dinner centered around low-waste kitchen practices and sustainable cooking. This gathering brings together emerging talent with top studios and networks to propel media and technology executive Keith White’s mission to spotlight the untold history and future of Black animation. The weekend’s lineup features Lynne Southerland (animation director and producer), Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Rise of the Guardians), Carl Jones (The Boondocks), Jorge Gutierrez (The Book of Life, El Tigre) and Evan Waite (Family Guy).
Astrid x Miyu LA Opening Celebrations — April 24-26

Pride House L.A. in West Hollywood hosts the 25th anniversary screening of The Broken Hearts Club in West Hollywood Park. The outdoor showing features food trucks, activations and a pre-show program with Greg Berlanti and the cast, including Zach Braff and Billy Porter.
Basqueria x Like a Friend Said Limited-Time Sandwich — April 25

Basqueria, Malibu’s Basque mini-mart and sandwich spot, and Like A Friend Said join forces on a limited-edition sandwich, 100 of which will be donated to FoodCycle LA for Earth Day. It will also be available on May 2.

Head to Blum Gallery for a day of talks, sensory exhibits and performances with experimental artists and filmmakers. The showcase is presented in collaboration with Mozilla Foundation; AIMS (AI for Media & Storytelling), a collaboration between the School of Cinematic Arts and the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC; and the Center for Sports, Entertainment, Media and Technology Law at the USC Gould School of Law.
