An SUV driver was taken into custody in the San Gabriel Valley after leading the California Highway Patrol on a chase Thursday night.
The pursuit started in La Puente and went up the 101 Freeway into Hollywood before going back to the San Gabriel Valley, video from NewsChopper4 showed. It ended in West Covina at around 10:40 p.m.
Near the end of the chase, the driver had a flat tire, possibly due to a spike strip deployed by the CHP.
Officials say the initial want was for speeding.
