Tehachapi City Council recognizes Dispatcher of the Year
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Tehachapi City Council awarded the city’s Dispatcher of the Year during its regular meeting Monday.
Jesica Fager-Monheim was selected as the Dispatcher of the Year based on recommendation and support from her supervisors and peers in the department, according to Tehachapi Chief of Police Richard Standridge.

She was hired in June 2016 as one of the six original dispatchers — of which only two remain — when the Tehachapi Police Department opened its communications center.
Standridge said Fager-Monheim helps keep the communications center running as one of its senior dispatchers.
He thanked Fager-Monheim for her professionalism, saying she is a blessing to the younger hires with her institutional knowledge within the department.
“If I was out in the streets in a situation, this is who I would want on the line,” said Standridge at the meeting.
