Hernandez targets pet restrictions in rentals
Pet owners would have an easier time renting a unit, if a pair of City Council motions from District 1 representative Eunisses Hernandez pass. One motion would have the council support a proposed bill by State Sen. María Elena Durazo to have landlords include pet policies in their rental listings, specifying any breed and weight restrictions. The other motion seeks to lift restrictions altogether, including limits on pet breeds, weight, and size, in housing that is not publicly funded.
