An armed robber stole a luxury watch and chain belonging to an actor at his Los Angeles-area home, law enforcement sources told NBC4 Investigates.

The victim was pulling into his residence Sunday night when he was approached by a man who pointed a gun at him and demanded the items, the sources said. The man then left with the chain and Rolex watch valued at a combined $40,000.

No arrests were reported Tuesday afternoon. NBCLA has reached out to the victim’s reps for comment.

The crime is one of several recent watch thefts, including high-end watches, in the LA area. On Tuesday morning, an armed robber in a Hollywood parking lot struck a man in the head and stolen his a $77,000 Vacheron Constantin.

On Monday night, a man was sitting in his car in the 11200 block of Ventura Boulevard when a gunman opened the door and demanded his watch, valued at $500, the LAPD said.

Last month, a man was injured when his Rolex watch was stolen by masked men armed with guns at a Sherman Oaks gas station.
