Two pedestrians were hospitalized after they were struck by a vehicle Thursday evening in San Jose, police said.
Officers responded at 7:24 p.m. to the 2300 block of Carlton Avenue after receiving reports of a collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians, the San Jose Police Department said.
Both pedestrians were initially sent to a hospital in critical condition, but the department later said their injuries were not life-threatening.
The driver involved in the crash was taken into custody. Police did not immediately release more details about the motorist.
