Long Beach’s waterfront is gearing up for a bigger summer rave as Day Trip Festival sails back to the Queen Mary waterfront on June 27 and 28, 2026. The City of Long Beach shared the news on Tuesday while organizers and promoters teased an expanded festival footprint and a newly activated amphitheater beside the historic ship. Expect daytime house-and-techno sets, late-night afterparties and a healthy boost for businesses along the water.

The City of Long Beach’s Facebook post also spells out a promotional giveaway that closes at 11:59 p.m. PT on April 23, asking fans to enter by commenting with the artists they want to see and the name of a plus-one. The grand prize bundles a three-night stay aboard the Queen Mary for the festival weekend with tickets and other prize packages, according to City of Long Beach.

Tickets and presale details

Organizers say both 2-day and single-day tickets will be available, with an 11:00 a.m. PT presale for sign-ups and a general sale at 12:00 p.m. PT on April 24. The festival is listing GA and VIP options, with a deposit required, and is nudging fans to sign up early to lock in presale access, according to Day Trip Festival.

New amphitheater expands the footprint

In a March press release, Insomniac confirmed that the 2026 edition of Day Trip will make use of the new Long Beach Amphitheater, stretching the festival’s footprint along the Queen Mary shoreline. The company describes the amphitheater as an 11,000-capacity open-air venue that will host one of the event’s stages, according to Insomniac.

Lineup highlights

The High Tide stage is set to bring Green Velvet B2B Josh Baker, Purple Disco Machine with a sunset set, RuPaul in a DJ set and CID on Saturday. Sunday’s bill includes Cloonee, Elderbrook with a DJ set, Hayden James and SIDEPIECE B2B Westend. Additional support acts and stages round out a multi-stage lineup built squarely for house and techno fans, according to Day Trip Festival.

Event hours are listed as 1 p.m. to midnight each day, and the festival is strictly 21+ with photo ID required. Afterparty wristbands and hotel rooms aboard the Queen Mary are included in some packages and can sell out quickly.
