So where is Final Fantasy XIV going next? What do fans have to look forward to for the next expansion? What delightful new t-shirt has producer and director Naoki Yoshida bought for this particular show? Fans have eagerly awaited the answers to all of these questions for some time now, but the answers are coming with the start of the fan festival in Anaheim right now.
As always, MOP’s own Eliot is keeping a close watch on the keynote and will be writing up a full breakdown of the major announcements once the keynote has concluded. You can watch along from home if you’re free, but if you don’t have the opportunity or just would rather read up on everything later, you can absolutely do that. There will be moogles either way. (We don’t know the exact quantity of moogles. It’s FFXIV. There will be some.)
The next expansion for the game is called Evercold, and it will release January 2027.
