A UC Berkeley student was arrested today at her Downtown Berkeley residence for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the back with a knife early Wednesday morning, according to BPD Officer Byron White.
Berkeley Police Department officers responded to a report of a stabbing in an apartment on the 2200 block of Ward Street at 12:55 a.m. on Wednesday, White said in an email.
Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been stabbed in the back with a knife, allegedly by his girlfriend. The Berkeley Fire Department transported the man to a local hospital with injuries that “are not believed to be” life-threatening, according to White.
The suspect was booked on suspicion of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon. UCPD assisted in locating the suspect, according to White.
