BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A vegetation fire has temporarily closed Interstate 5 near Highway 46 on Friday night, according to CHP’s website. Both directions of the I-5 in the Lost Hills area are closed.
Drivers are being detoured from Highway 46 to Lost Hills Road to Twisselman Road, and drivers on the I-5 north and south are being detoured to the same area.
The so-called “Lost Fire” was first reported by CHP just before 7:30 p.m. on southbound I-5, just north of Highway 46. The cause is unknown at this time.
