No active public threat after man with machete spotted in San Jose backyard
(KRON) — San Jose police are telling residents there is no active public safety threat after a man was seen holding a machete in a residential backyard Friday morning.
Police received a report at 7:20 a.m. of a suspicious person with a weapon in the 1400 block of Herald Avenue.
The suspect is described by investigators as a man with a skinny build, in his 30s, with a dark colored backpack and a machete, wearing dark colored clothing.
His whereabouts are not currently known as police continue to investigate the incident.
Anyone with details on the case or who sees suspicious activity is urged to call San Jose police.
