SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

Sacramento’s Tahoe Park celebrated major renovations on Friday night, including new trees, biking facilities, improvements to the horseshoe pit and a revamped basketball court.

The basketball court saw its blacktop replaced, a change that one park regular said he approves of.

Friday also marked the first night of “Fourth Friday Food Trucks at Tahoe Park,” an event featuring food, music, local vendors and city representatives working to build community connections.

The event will be held every fourth Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. through October.
