(FOX40.COM) — A motorcyclist died late Friday night following a solo crash in Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Officers responded just after 11 p.m. to the area of 65th Street Expressway and 21st Avenue after receiving reports of a motorcycle crash. Police said the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sacramento police said due to the circumstances of the collision, detectives from the department’s Major Collision Investigations Unit and Crime Scene Investigators were called in to take over the investigation.

No additional details about the cause of the crash or the identity of the motorcyclist were immediately released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
