Officers with the Bakersfield Police Department arrested four people Thursday as part of a nationwide operation to combat human trafficking.
A BPD news release said Paul Daniel Escobosa, age 37; Thomas Martinez, 42; and Jorge Jimenez Villalobos, 20, were taken into custody on suspicion of loitering with the intent to purchase commercial sex. It noted Martinez was also suspected of solicitation of prostitution.
During the operation, it said, 30-year-old Jaelen Byrd was arrested on suspicion of having an outstanding felony arrest warrant.
