Mayor Gloria and the City Council should be ashamed of themselves. They are purposely putting parking meters on the side streets that completely surround the Kensington library. Are they trying to close the library? Every time I drive by, the area is crowded with children on the playground, meetings on the grass, and a lot of children and adults going into and coming out of the library itself. It is an enormous part of our community.
I understand that the city intends to put parking meters all down Adams Avenue. It’s just petty to put parking meters on the side streets around the library. Are city leaders trying to destroy the communities that make San Diego a special place to live?
