Patriot graduate Jalen Stroman signed Saturday night with the San Francisco 49ers as undrafted rookie free agent.

Stroman was not taken during the three-day, seven-round NFL Draft that ended Saturday evening.

Stroman began his college career at Virginia Tech as a January 2021 early enrollee. His older brother, Greg (Stonewall Jackson), played cornerback for the Hokies before going in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft to the Washington Commanders.

Stroman spent four seasons with the Hokies before transferring to Notre Dame for the 2025 season. Stroman missed all but one game for the 2024 season with an injured right shoulder.

Stroman played in the Senior Bowl, a national showcase for top NFL prospects who have completed their college eligibility.
