VenHub Global Inc., a provider of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered retail concepts, will open on Monday a new contactless, fully autonomous 24/7 Smart Store in Los Angeles Union Station. With no on-site employees, VenHub will sell snacks and travel essentials.
This is VenHub’s second collaboration with LA Metro. The company’s first store with the transit system operator is at the LAX/Metro Transit Center.
“Our expanded partnership demonstrates what is possible when public infrastructure and private innovation come together to serve people,” said Shahan Ohanessian, founder and CEO of VenHub. “This is more than a smart store—it’s a reflection of our mission to make retail access for consumers faster, easier and available everywhere.”
Las Vegas, Nevada-based VenHub combines robotics, automation and a mobile-first technology. It currently operates five locations in California, according to the company website.
“We’re excited to welcome VenHub to Los Angeles Union Station—a bold step forward in transforming how Angelenos access everyday essentials,” said Susie Vance, senior director of marketing for Morlin Asset Management, a commercial real estate management firm.
On Oct. 6, VenHub announced it had publicly filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) annoucing its plan to go public via direct listing. Following completion of an SEC review, VenHub intends to list its stock on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker symbol “VHUB.”
Following its Southern California expansion, VenHub said it is preparing retail deployments for transit hubs and commercial sites in major cities across North America, the Middle East and Europe.
