AND UNFORTUNATELY, THIS IS A TRAIN VERSUS PEDESTRIAN COLLISION. WE DON’T HAVE AN UPDATE ON THE PERSON, BUT YOU CAN SEE THE PARAMEDICS AND FOLKS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THERE. AND ALSO ALONG THE TRACKS, YOU CAN SEE A PERSON IN A GREEN VEST THERE. AND SO TRAIN TRAFFIC IS STOPPED THERE, BUT IT DOES LOOK LIKE ROSEVILLE ROAD IS GETTING THROUGH. A pedestrian died Monday morning after being hit by a train in Sacramento County, officials said.LiveCopter 3 was over the scene near Roseville and Walerga roads, where first responders could be seen by a freight train that was stopped. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District confirmed a pedestrian died.Details were not released on the identity of the person. ROSEVILLE, Calif. —
A pedestrian died Monday morning after being hit by a train in Sacramento County, officials said.
LiveCopter 3 was over the scene near Roseville and Walerga roads, where first responders could be seen by a freight train that was stopped. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District confirmed a pedestrian died.
Details were not released on the identity of the person. It is also not known what led to the crash.
The California Highway Patrol and Union Pacific are investigating.
