BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a bicyclist who died in a crash in south Bakersfield Saturday morning.
Eduardo Godinez, 31, was a bicyclist struck by a vehicle in the 5900 block of South Union Avenue at 3:42 a.m. Oct. 25, according to coroner’s officials.
According to the California Highway Patrol, investigation showed Godinez was traveling southbound on Union Avenue in the #2 lane.

A 32-year-old woman operating a 2017 gray Nissan Altima in the #2 lane suddenly noticed Godinez, but failed to avoid striking him, CHP said. Godinez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation, according to officials.
